Mrs. Michelle
Director and Darling Ducks Teacher
In her 19th year at Crescenta-Cañada Cooperative Nursery School, Michelle Reilly teaches the MWF Darling Duckling class as well as the T/TH Busy Bear class. In addition to her teaching duties, Michelle Reilly is the Director. Mrs. Michelle has a BA in Education from San Diego State University. Her Early Childhood Education units were received from UCLA. Mrs. Michelle began her teaching career as a Parent Education Instructor at Glendale Community College. She has taught classes from infants to entering kindergarten since 2000 and finds that working with the parents alongside the children is so rewarding.
Mrs. Michelle’s first introduction to this wonderful school was as a parent in 2001. She joined the Crescenta-Cañada Cooperative Nursery School with her daughter Megan in the Darling Duckling Class. Megan moved on to the Busy Bear Class and her younger daughter, Maddy joined the Darling Ducklings. Mrs. Michelle was fortunate enough to be an active member of CCNS for 4 years holding several committee jobs as well as many Board Positions. Being a former coop parent and now a teacher helps her to understand the positive experiences families have when joining a cooperative preschool.
Parent consultation with Mrs. Michelle can be arranged upon request at any time during the school year. Regularly scheduled parent-teacher conferences are held in the Spring, for both classes.
Mrs. Rosie
Busy Bears Teacher
Mrs. Rosie has been teaching the Busy Bear class since 2022. She works with Busy Bears Monday through Thursday and some Fridays. She has a BA in Liberal Studies from Cal State LA. She then pursued her MA in Education at Loyola Marymount University. She has attended UCLA Extension to complete her Early Childhood Units. Mrs. Rosie has worked in the Pasadena area as a teacher in Second Grade and Spanish. She has been in the education field since 2005.
She first joined CCNS as a parent with her daughter in 2019. Mrs. Rosie and her husband were looking for a preschool where they could be hands-on in their child's learning environment. CCNS was the perfect place. Then Mrs. Rosie's second daughter joined CCNS during the pandemic, when it was difficult to provide more socialization for younger children. The community continued to be supportive and to organize events in line with social distancing recommendations.
Mrs. Rosie and her family enjoy the outdoors and creating lots of memories while traveling.
