Daily Life at CCNSParent Responsibilities EnrollmentElementary ReadinessExtra-CurricularOther Questions
How does preschool prepare students for elementary school?
At CCNS, kindergarten readiness goes far beyond learning letters and numbers. Our program builds the whole child: fostering curiosity, resilience, and the social skills needed to thrive in a classroom setting. Children learn to follow routines, work cooperatively with peers, communicate their needs, and navigate challenges independently. Through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and a nurturing environment, we lay a strong foundation for academic success while making sure kids genuinely love coming to school. Our graduates consistently enter Kindergarten feeling confident, prepared, and excited for what's next.
How does Busy Bears class compare to TK?
Busy Bears class and TK (Transitional Kindergarten) both serve children in the year before Kindergarten, but they offer different experiences. While TK follows a more structured school-district framework, Busy Bears offers small class sizes, a play-based curriculum, and a warm cooperative environment built on parent involvement. Through hands-on exploration and play, our students build early literacy, math concepts, and fine motor skills. For many families, Busy Bears is the perfect bridge, building real kindergarten-readiness skills while still honoring the magic of early childhood.
